Krishna Generals

Krishna Generals is tucked away at Shop No.5 on Gutti Road, right near the vegetable market in Guntakal. Since we are so close to the market, it’s always loud and crowded outside. We open up early, often before the sun is fully up, because that’s when the vegetable sellers are setting up their stalls. People stop by our shop to grab things they forgot or just everyday items they need for their homes. The shop is narrow, and we have boxes stacked pretty high in the back. It isn't the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. You might have to wait a minute if we are digging through a crate for something specific. We see all kinds of people here, from busy parents to the old men who just want to complain about the price of onions. We try to keep things simple. There’s no air conditioning, just the breeze from the street and the ceiling fan overhead. We don't spend money on fancy signs or flyers. Most of our business comes from people just walking past on their way to buy tomatoes or greens. It’s a steady rhythm, and we like being right in the middle of all that Guntakal energy. It keeps us on our toes all day and we just enjoy the constant chatter from the street.
