Indo American Cancer Hospital & Reacher Institution

Out here in Anantapur, we have our place at H.No.12 - 3 - 160 on 5th Cross in Sai Nagar. This is where the Indo American Cancer Hospital & Reacher Institution operates. It’s a bit of a trek for some folks to get here, but we’re the main spot for this part of town. The building is a two-story house that we converted. It’s got a bit of a squeaky front door that we’ve been meaning to fix. Inside, we mostly deal with patient records and some basic consultations. We don't have the big machines they have in the city hospitals. It’s more about helping people figure out where they need to go next. The staff here is small, just a couple of us from the local area. Sai Nagar is usually quiet, except for when the school nearby lets out. We spend a lot of time on the computer, though the internet connection can be a bit spotty when it rains heavily. We have a small garden in the front, but the heat usually dries everything up by May despite our best efforts. It’s a plain place, nothing special to look at, but it serves the purpose. We know most of the families around here. Most days are just spent filing papers and answering the same questions over the phone. We try to be helpful when someone stops by with a problem. It gets dusty inside because of the road, so we are always sweeping the floors.
