This branch of the company is based out at the project site near the APCW and UTCL plant. We are located in Bhogasamundram, which is in the Tadipatri area of Anantapur District in Andhra Pradesh. Our project manager stays right here to keep an eye on everything. It is a very industrial area, so there is a lot of dust and the sound of machinery in the background most of the time. We live and work close to the cement works, so our days start early and usually end quite late. It is a tough environment, but we have a good group of people here. Most of us are staying in the quarters or nearby, so we see each other all the time. It is not a typical office job where you go home at five. We are always on hand if something needs to be sorted out at the site. The landscape around Tadipatri is quite dry and the heat can be something else in the summer months. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. We are just here to manage the project and make sure the work goes as planned. There are no fancy meetings or corporate events here, just hard work and making sure we meet our targets for the day. It’s a very hands-on kind of life for everyone involved in the project.
