G.Venkat Reddy & Co

Out here in Cherloaplli village, things move a bit differently. G.Venkat Reddy & Co is located in the Ramagiri area of Anantapur. We are involved with the Hnss Package-5 work. It’s a lot of outdoor activity and technical stuff. The office is basically a hub for the guys working the machines and managing the site. We don't have a paved road right to the door, so it gets a bit muddy when it rains in Anantapur. But we don't mind. We aren't those city types with suits and polished shoes. Most of us wear work boots and carry pens in our pockets. The day starts early, usually before the sun is all the way up. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with because of the nature of the project. P. Muralimohan stays busy keeping everything on track. It’s a tight-knit group. We eat lunch together most days, usually sitting on whatever is available. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just focus on the task at hand in the village. It's a long way from the big cities, but there is plenty of work to do. The local weather can be harsh, very dry and dusty, but we’re used to it by now. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's chores. The Hnss Package-5 keeps us busy enough that we don't have time for anything else. We're just glad to have steady work in the village.
