Electrical Field

This is B. Indiravathi’s place over on Neerugantee Street in the Old Town area of Anantapur. We are located at D/No: 17/569, right in the heart of the neighborhood. My father, B. Mallikarjuna, was the one who started things out here, and we’ve just kept the work going in the same spot. The street is quite narrow, so you have to be careful when you’re driving or walking down it. We focus on the electrical field and handle all the various tasks that come with that. The office is really just a part of the house that we converted into a workspace years ago. It’s got a lot of history and character to it. Anantapur is very dry and sunny for most of the year, so we always have the fans running full blast in here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just find us by talking to their neighbors or by walking down Neerugantee Street. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We deal with all kinds of electrical components and local repairs. Sometimes the kids from next door run past the open door while we are trying to read a technical manual. It's a bit messy with old wires and toolboxes sitting around, but we know exactly where every single thing is kept. Being in Old Town means we know almost everyone who lives on this block. It’s just a local business run by family.
