Chinmayi Coffee Works

Chinmayi Coffee Works is a small shop located at Shop No. 7 in the Panchayath Complex in Madakasira. Being in the complex means we are right in the middle of where people go to get their daily errands done. It is a humble little place where we focus on coffee. We have the big grinders that make a lot of noise when they are running, and the whole shop smells like fresh coffee all day long. Many people from the surrounding villages come into Madakasira for the market and they often stop by to get their coffee powder. We have been here for a good while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to it. It’s a very practical shop with bags of beans sitting on the floor and small shelves for the finished packets. We don't have any fancy branding or expensive packaging. We just put the coffee in plain bags and seal them up. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which can be a bit of a problem for the machines, but we just wait it out. It is a slow-paced life compared to the big cities, but we like the routine of it. Most of our customers are people we have known for years. We just try to keep the machines running and the coffee fresh for whoever walks in.
