Amma Supermarket

We've been here in Gandhi Nagar for a while now. It's just a regular shop where people from Talur come to get what they need for the kitchen. We keep the shelves stocked with dal, rice, and soaps. Some days it gets busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is out. The shop isn't fancy or anything. Just 8-1-42, easy to find. We try to keep things fresh. Sometimes the delivery guy is late, but we manage. My family helps out behind the counter. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It’s nice living and working in the same neighborhood. You get used to the rhythm of the street. If we don't have something, we usually get it in a few days. The floors are stone, and it stays cool even when it's hot outside. We don't have big signs or loud music. It's just a place to buy your groceries and maybe chat for a minute. We keep standard hours. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here. Just a local store for local people. There is always some dust on the top shelves, but we get to it when we can. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, yet it does the job during the summer months. It's a simple life.
