Ali Razak

I am Ali Razak and I stay over at 14/445 Line Masjid in the Dastagaripet area of Proddature. Most people around here just call it the mosque line because the Masjid is such a big landmark for us. My father is S. Muhammed Ali and his father was S. Hussain, so our family has been part of this Kadapa district community for a long time. It gets really hot here in Andhra Pradesh, especially in the middle of the day, so we usually start our work very early before the sun gets too high. The neighborhood is mostly families and small local shops. You can hear the call to prayer several times a day and it helps keep us on schedule. My workspace is just a part of the house really. It’s nothing polished or corporate, just a desk and some chairs where we handle whatever needs doing. Sometimes the mail gets delivered to the neighbor by mistake because the house numbering can be a bit confusing in Dastagaripet, but we all know each other so it finds its way to me eventually. We are simple people living in a simple town. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything, just trying to do our work honestly and take care of the family. If you ever find yourself in Proddature, the Line Masjid is the best way to find where we are located.
