Suhrad Starch Products takes up Plot No. 2205 and 2206 over in Zone-A-10 of Phase-Iv in the GIDC Estate. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to move, which we definitely need for the starch processing. It’s a bit of a messy business, to be honest. There’s always a fine powder in the air, no matter how much we sweep. We spend a lot of our time watching the vats and making sure the temperature is just right. If it’s off by a little, the whole batch can go wrong, and that’s a lot of waste we can’t afford. GIDC is a huge place, and it’s easy to get lost, but we’re pretty well established in Phase-Iv now. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. The crew here is small, and we mostly just talk about the weather or what’s for lunch while we work. It’s a lot of standing and checking gauges. Sometimes the pipes clog up, and we have to spend half a day taking things apart to get it flowing again. It’s just how it is with starch. We aren't looking to be the biggest company around, just a reliable one that stays open and keeps the orders moving out of the estate. We just keep our heads down and worry about the quality of what's in the bags.
