Gayatri Iron Industries

Our place is Gayatri Iron Industries, located at Plot No. 37 in the Ph-I section of the Gidc Estate. As you can guess from the name, we work with iron. It is heavy, dirty, and physically demanding work every single day. We don't have any air conditioning in the workshop, just some large fans that move the hot air around. We spend our time cutting, bending, and moving metal pieces for various projects. It is a no-frills kind of shop. The yard outside is usually cluttered with scrap pieces and raw materials waiting to be used. We don't put much stock in appearance because the work we do is tough. Our workers are strong and they've been doing this for a long time. We mostly talk over the sound of the grinders. It’s not a place for a suit and tie, that’s for sure. Most of our customers are other local businesses who need specific ironwork done quickly. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, the owner is the one answering the phone and writing down orders on whatever scrap of paper is handy. It’s a real, grit-and-sweat kind of business. We just aim to finish the day with all our fingers intact and the orders ready for pickup the next morning. It's simple and it's what we know how to do.
