Durga Engineering Works

Durga Engineering Works is tucked away at Plot No-1801/20 in the Gidc Estate. It’s not the biggest plot in the world, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. It’s a bit of a maze with all the materials we have stacked up in the corners. We mostly do fabrication and repair work, so there is always the sound of grinding or hammering going on throughout the day. If you come by, don’t expect a clean chair to sit on because there’s usually iron filings on everything. We like it that way, though. It feels like a real shop where things actually get built. The lighting isn’t the best, but we know where every tool is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in off the street. We’ve been at 1801/20 for quite a while now, and we’ve seen shops around us open and close, but we just keep doing our thing. The guys here don't say much; they just focus on what’s in front of them. When we have a deadline, we might stay late and order some food in, but usually, we wrap up when the sun goes down. It’s just honest labor and getting the measurements right. We don’t need to tell people we are good at it; the work speaks for itself when the parts fit together. It's just a regular workday for us, and we are fine with that.
