Vihar Mart India Private Limited is situated right in the middle of Anand Bazar. It’s a very traditional market area, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. We run a mart that deals with all the basic things people need for their homes. Our space is usually full of stock, from floor to ceiling in some parts. We don't have a separate corporate office; we just work from a small desk tucked in the back of the store. Dealing with the public every day is interesting. You meet all sorts of people, and you learn what the neighborhood really wants. It’s a lot of physical work, like unloading trucks and stocking shelves, and we are usually on our feet all day long. Anand Bazar is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, so we have a lot of regulars who come in just to say hello while they shop. We don’t do any big promotions or have a fancy website. People know we are here, and they know what we sell. We try to keep our prices fair and our products fresh. It’s a simple, local business that relies on hard work and being there when people need something. Sometimes it gets overwhelming during the holidays, but we just push through and keep the doors open. We've been at this for years now.
