Comfy Furniture Centre

Our shop is right by the Bhaikaka Statue in Vallabh Vidhyanagar. Most locals just call the area Comfy Circle because we’ve been here so long. Comfy Furniture Centre is basically where I’ve spent most of my adult life. It’s a big space filled with chairs, tables, and cupboards. It gets a bit dusty with all the wood and fabric around, so we’re always dusting things off. The students from the nearby university often walk past, making the area feel quite lively. We don't go in for big sales pitches or flashy lights. If someone needs a bed or a sofa, they just come in and try them out. I usually sit near the front to greet people. Sometimes the fans aren't enough to keep the place cool in April, but we make do. We have a small crew who helps with the deliveries. Moving heavy wardrobes up narrow stairs is never fun, but it’s part of the job. We’ve seen the town of Vidyanagar grow and change quite a bit from our spot at the circle. People know they can find us here. We aren't trying to be a giant chain store. It’s just a local business where you can get a decent chair without too much fuss. We use a lot of old-fashioned paper ledgers still. It’s just easier for us to keep track of things that way. It keeps our history safe in those big books.
