We are located right on Station Road in Karamsad, which is in the Anand district. It’s a good spot because there’s always people walking by on their way to or from the station. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack it full of different textiles and fabrics. We spend most of our time unfolding rolls of cloth for customers and helping them figure out what they need for their projects. It gets quite busy during the festival seasons, and sometimes the whole place feels like it's buried in fabric. We’ve been here in Karamsad for quite a while now, and we know most of the regulars who come in. We don’t really use a computer for much other than the basics; we prefer to handle things face-to-face. The shop can get a bit warm in the afternoons, so we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. It’s a simple life, just showing up, opening the shutters, and seeing who stops by. We try to keep the shelves tidy, but by the end of the day, it’s usually a bit of a mess. We just clear it up and start again the next morning. It’s been our way of doing things for years and we don’t see any reason to change it now. There is always more fabric to sort through.
