We are tucked away inside Tarkand Society at house number B-12. Being in a residential society makes it a bit quieter than being out on the main roads of Anand. It feels more like a home than a school, which I think the kids appreciate. We have converted part of the building into a space for the lessons. There are plenty of windows, so we get a decent breeze when the weather is nice. Sometimes you can hear the neighbors' kids playing outside or a scooter passing by, but mostly it is just the sound of pens scratching on paper. We’ve stayed in this location because it is easy for families nearby to reach us. There is no big sign outside, just a small one by the gate so people know they have the right house. The rooms are filled with old wooden desks and a few chairs we’ve picked up over the years. It’s not a shiny new building, but it is sturdy and kept clean. We spend a lot of time here even after the students leave, just getting ready for the next day. It’s a quiet life, really. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just drop by or give us a call when they need help with their studies. It’s how we’ve always done things here. We just sit around the table and work through the problems together.
