Reliance General Insurance

Our office is tucked away in Asopalav Society, right off Old Channi Road in Baroda. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s not quite as loud as the main highway, but we still get plenty of traffic coming through. We handle insurance stuff for Reliance General Insurance here. Mostly it’s just paperwork and sitting at desks under the ceiling fans. Gujarat summers are no joke, so we usually have the AC running, even if it makes a lot of noise. People come in when they’ve had an accident or when their policy is about to expire and they need to renew it. We spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to get through to the main office or explaining things to customers who are frustrated. It’s a plain office with some blue chairs and stacks of files that never seem to get any smaller no matter how much we work. We’ve got a small tea kettle in the back for when we need a break. It’s not a glamorous job, just honest work that needs doing. We see the same faces from the neighborhood all the time. The parking outside is a bit tight, so people usually end up blocking each other in. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s a practical place where we get the job done without any extra fluff or fancy decorations on the walls.
