Rajesh Grocery Store

Our grocery store is in Valasan, right near the Baliyadev Mandir. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities around us. We have been serving the people here for a long time as Rajesh Grocery Store. The address says near the temple three times because that is the only landmark everyone truly knows. If you find the temple, you find us. We keep all the basic groceries that a family kitchen needs. There are bags of flour, tins of oil, and jars of local spices. The shop is small and we know almost every person who walks through the door by their first name. Usually, it's the mothers and grandmothers coming to pick up things for the evening meal. We don't have a computerized billing system or anything like that. We just use a pen and a piece of paper. Life here moves slowly and we like it that way. When the temple has a festival, the whole area gets very busy and we have to stay open much longer than usual. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with so many people, but we manage to get through it. We try to keep our prices fair so the local villagers can afford what they need. The shelves are packed tight and sometimes it's hard to find things if you don't know where to look. But we know where every single item is kept. It is a simple life of buying and selling. We don't have big signs.
