Prayas Castings Ltd

Our place, Prayas Castings Ltd, is right by the Jain Temple in Chokshi Pole. Borsad is a small town, so everyone kind of knows where we are. Dealing with metal casting is hot and dirty work, especially in the summer here in the Anand district. We’ve got the furnace going most days and the smell of molten metal is just part of the job. It’s not a fancy setup. The building is old and has seen better days, but the equipment works and that’s what matters to us. We make different parts for people who need them. Sometimes it’s a small order for someone down the street, and other times it’s something bigger. We don't use much technology for the business side of things. Most of our notes are written on scraps of paper or kept in old ledgers. We prefer it that way. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in soot or moving heavy molds around. It's physical labor and it keeps us tired, but it's honest work. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and don't plan on moving. The temple nearby is a nice landmark for people trying to find us. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the pours right.
