Aatiemiya Agro

Aatiemiya Agro is located in Dampura, which falls under the Napa post office. It’s a rural area surrounded by fields. We started this because we wanted to be involved in the local agricultural scene. Our place is basically a large storage area and a small office space. It’s very functional and doesn't have any extra frills. We spend our days dealing with various crops and the people who grow them. The work is tied very closely to the weather. If there’s a good monsoon, we are very busy. If it’s a dry year, things are a lot slower. We have a handful of workers who help with the heavy lifting and sorting. Most of us grew up around farms, so we understand how things work. We don't have a computer system for everything. We still use paper ledgers and notebooks to keep track of things. It works well enough for us. The road leading to our place in Dampura can be a bit rough, especially for smaller cars, but the tractors and trucks don't have any trouble. We don't spend money on marketing or big signs. Most of our business comes from the relationships we’ve built with other locals over the years. We just try to be fair and do a decent job. It’s a quiet, steady life and we’re happy to be a part of it.
