Siyaram'S Shop[ Disha Garments]

We have been running Siyaram'S Shop here in Anand for a while now. Most people know us as Disha Garments. We sit right in the Jilla Panchayat Shpg. Ctr., which is just across from the big Amul Dairy. It is a busy spot. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start folding the clothes. The shop isn't huge, but we fill it up with whatever people in the neighborhood are looking for. Sometimes the fans aren't enough when the sun hits the front of the building, but we manage. People stop by on their way home or after they visit the dairy area. We talk about the weather or the local news while they look at shirts. It is a simple life here in unit A-13. We see the same faces every week. It feels good to be a part of the local market. My hands are usually busy organizing the racks. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just the usual tubes. We keep things tidy as much as we can. It’s mostly just about getting through the day and making sure someone finds a good pair of pants. There is always tea being passed around from the stall nearby. That’s how things go here at our little place in 388001. We don’t do much advertising, just word of mouth from folks who live around here. It works out fine for us.
