Northeast Machines

Our workshop at Northeast Machines sits right on Station Road in Karamsad. We are located at Vallabhashray, which is just near the Primary Health Centre. It’s a convenient spot because everyone knows where the health centre is. The building is simple and we have been here long enough that the paint is starting to peel a little in the corners. We spend our hours dealing with different types of machinery and parts. Some days it is very quiet and we just do maintenance, and other days it feels like everyone in town needs something fixed at the same time. You can hear the vehicles passing by on the road all day. We have a small crew and we mostly just wear our work clothes and get our hands a bit greasy. There is a small desk for the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the floor where the machines are. Karamsad is a decent place to work, not too fast but not standing still either. We keep the doors open to let the breeze in, though it brings in some dust too. People drop by to ask questions or just to see what we have in stock. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. It’s just a place where work gets done and we go home at the end of the day. The tea shop down the road is where we usually end up during the afternoon break.
