Our shop is number 30 over on Khetiwadi Samite College Road in Petlad. It’s a lively area because of all the students from the college walking back and forth. We see a lot of activity throughout the day. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We’ve got some shelves for samples and a couple of desks where we handle the impex paperwork. Petlad is the kind of town where everyone knows everyone, so we often have people dropping by just to say hello. We don't have any corporate polish or fancy decorations. It’s just a functional space for a small business. We deal with imports and exports, which sounds complicated but it’s mostly just keeping track of details and staying on the phone. Sometimes the rain gets quite heavy and we have to make sure no water gets near the documents. We don't have a big staff, just a few local folks who know how to get things done. We don't believe in making things sound more impressive than they are. We just open up in the morning, do the work, and close up when the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and that’s exactly how we like it. No fuss, just work. The road gets quite busy in the afternoons, so there is always something to look at out the window.
