Jignesh General Store

If you are walking down Borsad Main Road in Anand you will see us at Plot No. A-03. We are right there in Janta Bazar near the main chowk. It’s a loud corner because of all the traffic and people shouting across the market. My store isn’t very big but we cram as much as we can onto the shelves. You’ll find things stacked up high. We sell the usual things people need every day like soap and snacks and kitchen bits. I spend most of my time behind the counter. I’ve known most of the customers since they were small kids. We don't have any polished floors or bright neon signs. It’s just a regular store with a tiled floor that’s seen better days. I don't use any software to track what we have. I just look at the shelves and see what is missing. It works fine for me. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when the school lets out or during the festivals. People lean against the counter and talk about the weather or the local news while I bag their items. We aren't looking to become a supermarket chain. I just like having this spot in the bazar. It gets hot in the afternoon but the shade from the building across the street helps a little. We are open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night.
