Our shop, Janki Medical And Provision Store, is right on Alina Road near the Pansora Chowkdi. If you know Umreth, you know this intersection gets quite a lot of traffic. We sell medicines but we also keep basic provisions because people usually need both at the same time. It saves them a second trip. The store isn't very large, but we pack a lot into the shelves. From toothpaste to prescriptions, it’s all in there somewhere. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. Being at the Chowkdi means we see a lot of faces passing through. Some are regulars who live just down the street, others are just driving through Umreth. It gets dusty being right on the road, but that is just how it is. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters. It is mostly just a couple of us working here. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. When someone comes in, we stop whatever we are doing to help them find what they need. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery, but we try to keep the basics in stock. It is a straightforward business. We provide what the local community asks for. People stop by on their way home from work. It’s a convenient spot for the neighborhood. We just keep the doors open and do our job every day. It’s what we know best.
