Jay Khodiyar Timber Mart

Jay Khodiyar Timber Mart is located at Plot No. 110 in Vasana. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you are looking for wood. The yard is usually filled with different kinds of timber stacked up high, and you can smell the sawdust as soon as you get close to the gate. We spend most of our days outside or under the basic roof of the mart, moving planks around and talking to people who need wood for their specific projects. Vasana is a decent area to be in, and being at Plot No. 110 gives us enough space to keep a good amount of stock on hand for anyone who might stop by. The sun can beat down pretty hard on the timber during the summer months, so we have to be careful about how we store things and where we stack the fresh cuts. We don't have any fancy computers or high-tech management systems here. A lot of it is just done by hand and kept track of in simple paper ledgers that we keep on the desk. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it has worked for us for a long time. People from the local neighborhood know they can just walk in and see what we have available without an appointment. We don't use any slick talking or big promises. The wood speaks for itself, and we just provide the space for it to sit. It’s a quiet life for the most part, punctuated by the sound of a saw or a delivery truck pulling into the yard to load up.
