Gita Hume Pipe Works

We operate Gita Hume Pipe Works down near the canal in Vaghvala. Being close to the water is just where we ended up setting up the yard. We make concrete pipes of various sizes for drainage and other uses. It’s heavy, physical work. We spend our days mixing cement and pouring it into molds. The yard is usually full of pipes drying in the sun. It’s not the cleanest job, as there is always sand and wet concrete around, but we like it. We have a few machines to help with the heavy lifting because those pipes can be really weighty. We aren’t a big corporation with lots of rules. It’s just a group of us who know how to make a good pipe that won’t crack. We sell mostly to builders and local projects happening nearby. Sometimes the road by the canal is a bit rough for the delivery trucks, but we manage to get things out. We don’t use fancy slogans or try to act like we’re something we aren't. We just make pipes and sell them for a fair price. Some days it’s very hot out in the yard, so we take breaks in the shade. It’s a simple life. We’ve been at Vaghvala for years and most people know to come here when they need pipe work done. We just keep our heads down and keep the mixer running.
