Geeta Glass Centre

If you go to the Municipal Shopping Centre, right across from the Rajshivalay Cinema, you will find us at shops 3 and 4. Geeta Glass Centre has been here for a long time. Working with glass is something you have to learn by doing. It is not something you can just read about. We spend our days cutting sheets of glass to whatever size the customers need. Sometimes it is for a broken window at home, and other times it is for a big mirror in a shop. The shop is usually covered in a fine layer of dust from the grinding and cutting, but that is just how it is. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays. We just have racks of glass leaned against the walls. We have to be very careful when we move things around so nothing breaks. It is a lot of manual labor and it can be tiring on the back. The cinema across the road means there are always people walking by, so we see a lot of life happening outside. We aren't trying to be the biggest glass shop in the state. We just want to provide what the local people need. Most of our customers are our neighbors or people from the nearby streets. We know them by name and they know us. It is a very simple, local way of doing things, and it has worked for us for years.
