Most people around here know where we are because of Anil Medical Hall. We’re right there at Gandhi Chowk in Motipur. It’s a small place, really. Pratish Kumar Anand runs things mostly, following in the footsteps of his father, M L Shaw. We’ve been part of the Muzaffarpur scene for quite some time now. People just stop by when they need something, no need for fancy appointments. Being in Bihar, things move at their own pace. We handle the Essar Groups stuff from this little corner of the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. That’s just life in Motipur. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a room with some chairs and a lot of files. We know our neighbors and they know us. If you ask anyone at the chowk for the Shaw family or the medical hall, they’ll point you straight to us. We do our work, talk to the locals, and try to make sure everything is handled right. It’s not a complicated setup. We’ve got our routine and we stick to it. Every morning we open up, sweep the front, and start the day’s tasks. It’s simple, honest work and we don’t feel the need to dress it up. We take things as they come and just try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door.
