Engineer

I am Sainath, the son of Dayanand Khalale. I run my small engineering setup from our home at Post Muchalamb. We are located in the Basavakalyan Taluk of the Bidar district in Karnataka. It is a very quiet village compared to the big cities. I started this because there was a need for someone with technical knowledge in our area. I don't have a big office with glass windows. It is just a room in the house where I keep my books and my tools. Most of my day is spent looking at drawings or helping people with their technical problems. My father taught me that a person’s word is everything, so I try to be honest about what I can do. If I can't fix something, I say so. People around here know where to find me. Sometimes the internet is slow, and it takes a while to send emails, but we manage. The weather here can get quite dry, but we have a nice porch where I do most of my thinking. We don't have a marketing team or a website. Most people just walk in or call my mobile. It is a simple way of working. I like that I know all my neighbors. We take on whatever work comes our way from the surrounding farms and small shops. It keeps me busy enough and I am happy with how things are.
