Deepak Sound System

Deepak Sound System is located in Rajolpura, on the Ganesh Chokdi Road in Anand. We are right below the Ganesh Chhikhodhra overbridge. You can’t miss the sound of the traffic overhead. It’s a bit of a noisy spot, but we are used to it. We have speakers and amplifiers stacked up all over the place. There are wires everywhere. We spend hours testing the knobs and making sure the cables aren't frayed. It’s a lot of lifting heavy boxes. Anand is a busy city and there is always some festival or event going on where they need some volume. We keep our gear in the shop and try to keep the dust off it, though that’s hard with the bridge right there. Most days involve a lot of soldering or just cleaning the equipment. We have some old speakers that still work great and some newer ones too. People stop by to ask about rentals or just to talk about music. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more like a workshop. We drink a lot of tea and listen to the buzz of the city. When we have a gig, we pack everything into the van and go. It’s a simple routine. We just make sure the sound comes out right and everything is plugged in where it should be. We just keep our heads down and do the work day by day.
