Our unit is a bit tucked away, and the road leading up to it is full of potholes that never seem to get fixed. We have a small yard out front where we park our scooters and the occasional truck. Inside, the space is divided between the production area and a tiny office that always feels a bit cramped. We have a lot of specialized equipment for our filtration work, so there isn't much room for anything else. The ceiling has some water stains from the last monsoon, and the fans squeak rhythmically while they spin. It’s not a place for lounging around. We usually have our lunch sitting on crates or at the single communal table we have in the back. The neighbors are mostly quiet, except for the occasional delivery. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for a long time, so we know the local quirks, like when the water pressure is going to be low or which days the trash collection actually happens. It’s just a regular, unpretentious place where we put in our hours and go home. Most of our days are spent checking inventory or making sure filters are packed correctly.
