Bhagirath Sankalp Shramsangh Privatelimited operates out of Anand Srivastava’s place in Chaksemaraghoorpur. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but it’s home for us. We focus on labor and getting people together to work on different projects. It’s a private setup, but we keep it very open to the community. The office isn't really an office in the traditional sense; it’s more of a gathering spot where we plan out the week's labor and talk about who is going where. We deal with real people who have real jobs, so we don't have time for corporate talk or long meetings that go nowhere. We keep our notes in simple ledgers and mostly rely on handshakes and our word to get things done. The area around here is mostly rural, so we spend a lot of time traveling to different sites to check on the progress of various jobs. We aren't a big agency with a fleet of cars. Most of us just walk or take a bike to get where we need to be. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset most days. We’ve been here for a while and we don’t plan on changing how we do things. It might seem old-fashioned to some people, but it works for the people in this village. We just try to keep everyone working and everything moving along as smoothly as possible.
