You can find Avadh Orthopedic General Hospital up on the first floor of the Nagarpalika Shopping Center. It’s an interesting spot for a hospital, being right above the shops, but it works out well for people who need to find us. Most of the folks coming in are dealing with broken bones or joints that just don't move like they used to. We see a lot of slips and falls, especially during the rainy season when the stairs get slick. The space isn't massive, but we’ve tucked in enough rooms to handle the daily flow of patients. It gets a bit loud with the noise from the market downstairs, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time looking at X-rays and helping people get back on their feet. It’s basic work, really. There’s no fancy lobby with marble floors here. We just have sturdy chairs and clean rooms. Sometimes the elevator in the shopping center is slow, so people end up taking the stairs, which isn't great for a bone clinic, but we help them up. The staff stays busy with paperwork and bandages. We’ve been in this building for a while now and the locals know to come up the stairs if their knee starts acting up. It’s just a practical place for practical problems. We keep things simple and try to help anyone who walks in. It’s what we do every day. Nothing fancy.
