Assam Sales Corporation

We’ve got our shop in the Sanket Complex, which is right by Grid Chokdi. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always a lot of movement and noise coming from the street outside. Being in a complex means we have neighbors on both sides, and we all kind of look out for each other. We handle various sales, mostly supplying items to local businesses and some walk-in customers who need stuff for their homes. The shop isn't huge, but we’ve managed to cram a lot of shelves into it over the years. We spend a good chunk of our day just moving boxes around to find what someone asked for. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and checking what we need to reorder from our suppliers. Sometimes the tea stall guy comes around, and that’s when we take a quick break to chat. We don't have a big corporate setup; it’s just us trying to make a living and providing what the local community needs. The parking out front can be a real mess during peak hours, but that’s just life near the Chokdi. We like being in this spot because everyone knows where it is. We keep the doors open most of the day, so it gets a bit of the outside dust, but it also means we can see who’s coming and going. It’s a simple, busy life here.
