Ultratech Cement

Being based in Kutch means dealing with a lot of open space and some pretty tough weather. Our cement operation out here is focused on getting the material where it needs to go across this vast district. It’s not an easy place to work sometimes, especially when the wind starts blowing across the plains, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a fancy office building with a lot of glass. Most of what we do happens on the ground, near the trucks and the storage areas. The landscape is wide and the roads can be long, but that’s just Kutch for you. We spend our time checking inventory and making sure the loaders are working like they should. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much time for sitting around. Every day brings a new set of challenges, whether it's a delay in a shipment or just the general heat making everything move a bit slower. We are just a group of people who know the cement business and know this region well. We talk to the drivers, keep an eye on the stock, and make sure the gates stay open during working hours. It’s a simple life focused on a product that literally builds the world around us. We don’t need to say much more than that. It’s just work, and we do it every day.
