We operate out of Dhakia village, near the Didauli post office in Amroha. Wali Husain started this because there was a need to get local products out to bigger markets. Being in a village in Jyotiba Phule Nagar means we are close to the source of a lot of what we export. It’s a quiet place, but we keep pretty busy with the international side of the business. We don't have a big city office with glass walls; it’s more of a family-run feel here. Everyone knows everyone in Dhakia, so our reputation matters a lot to us. We handle the paperwork and the shipping containers that come through to pick up goods. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication with people far away, which can be tricky with the time differences. Sometimes the internet is slow or the trucks get delayed on the narrow roads, but that’s just part of living and working here. We’ve learned to be patient and just work through the issues as they happen. We focus on the things we know well and try to make sure the quality is decent before anything leaves the village. It’s honest work that keeps us connected to our roots while dealing with people from all over. We just want to do a good job so that we can keep the business going for the long haul. It's about being reliable and staying true to where we come from.
