Uma Trader

We’ve been here at Katra Bazar for a while now. If you head down toward the Lakhani showroom, you'll find us pretty easily. It’s a busy spot, but we like being in the middle of things. Most days it’s just us handling the stock and making sure people get what they need without a lot of fuss. We started Uma Trader because there was space for it here and we knew the area well. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular shop where we keep things organized the best we can. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late or the rain makes the street a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We don't really do much advertising. People usually just hear about us from their neighbors or walk in while they're out shopping for other stuff. We try to keep a good variety of items on the shelves so nobody has to go searching all over the place. Dealing with different suppliers takes up a lot of our time, but it’s part of the job. We’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years, yet we’re still here doing the same basic thing every morning. It’s a simple life running a trade business in Katra Bazar. We open up early, sweep the front, and wait for the first person to come through the door. There’s always something to count or move around.
