Ambar Textile Traders

Mohalla Kot is where you can find us. Ambar Textile Traders has been in this neighborhood for a good while. The shop is filled with stacks of cloth that go almost up to the ceiling. It smells like fresh fabric and sometimes a bit of damp when it rains. We spend our days measuring out lengths of cloth and talking to the people who drop by. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a roll of silk or cotton. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Our neighbors are mostly other shops and families who have lived here forever. It’s a tight-knit place. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If people want to see what we have, they just walk through the door. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, and we spend all Sunday tidying it up. We get deliveries from the mills and then it's a rush to find space for the new stuff. It’s just a regular trade business. We aren't doing anything fancy. Just buying and selling textiles like people have done here for years. The old wooden counter has seen a lot of use since we started. We like the pace of life in the Mohalla. It’s home for the business and for us.
