Chandni Nursery

Chandni Nursery is located on the Hasanpur, Gajraula Road, specifically in Village Machari. It is a bit different from being in the city because we are surrounded by more open space and a lot of greenery. The work involves a lot of digging in the dirt and carrying heavy pots around all day. Your hands stay dirty pretty much from the moment you arrive until you leave. We grow various kinds of plants and trees here. Some days we are busy loading up trucks for people who have come from quite far away. The weather really dictates how our day goes. If it rains, everything gets muddy and slow, but the plants like it. In the peak of summer, we spend most of our time making sure everything gets enough water so it doesn't wilt in the heat. It is a quiet life compared to the industrial areas. We see a lot of birds and insects around the nursery. The village atmosphere means people usually stop by to chat or ask for advice on why their plants aren't growing right. We don't have any fancy office or a big reception area. There is just a small shack where we keep the tools and sit down for a glass of water when it gets too hot. It is honest work and keeps us moving throughout the day.
