About Brass Fingers Export – Housewares & Supplies in Amroha
You’ll find us on Peerghaib Street. It’s one of those narrow streets where everyone knows each other. We’ve been working with brass here for as long as I can remember. The street is always full of the sound of metal being worked on. Our workshop is small and tucked away. Inside, it’s quite dark, but we have lamps over the benches where we do the detailed work. There is always a smell of metal and polish in the air. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us and our tools. Most of what we make gets sent far away, but it all starts right here on Peerghaib Street. We spend hours polishing and finishing the pieces. My hands are usually stained from the work, but that’s normal for us. We have piles of raw brass in one corner and finished items in another. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We take our time with each piece because that’s how we were taught. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the workshop very hot, so we start early in the morning to get the heavy work done before noon. Neighbors stop by to chat while we work. It’s a community of makers. We don't try to be anything we’re not. We just make brass items and try to do a decent job of it every day, even when the orders pile up and the space gets cramped.
