Assam Tea Store

Assam Tea Store is located right in the middle of the bustle at Ghanta Ghar in Chanduausi. We are set up C/O Sanjivani Tea, so it’s a shared kind of space that always smells like fresh tea leaves. Being near the clock tower means we hear the sounds of the market all day long. It’s a noisy place, but we like being right where the people are. Chanduausi is a busy town and Ghanta Ghar is the heart of it. We don’t have a big showroom. It’s more like a storage area with a small counter where we handle the tea. Most of the time, we are busy weighing out portions or talking to regular customers who have been coming to us for years. There’s always a bit of tea dust in the air, and we keep our samples in plain tins. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’re more focused on the tea itself. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it works for us. Working here with Sanjivani Tea makes things easier because we all know the business inside and out. We aren't doing anything flashy. It's just a local store doing what it’s always done for the people in Chanduausi. We open up early when the market starts to wake up and stay until the sun goes down and the crowd finally thins out for the night.
