You can find our place at D-195 in the New Industrial Focal Point, right across from the Model Industrial Park on Mehta Road. It’s a busy spot with trucks constantly moving in and out of the various gates. We work with wood machinery, which means there’s always sawdust in the air and the smell of fresh cut timber around the shop. The building is a big shed mostly, and we’ve added on bits and pieces over the years as we needed more room for the lathes and saws. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever visit, but we know where every tool is kept. We don't have a reception area, so if you come by, you just have to walk in and yell over the noise of the machines to get someone’s attention. Most of our day is spent fixing old equipment or setting up new machines for customers who come from all over the state. We’ve been here a long time, and the guys working the floor are more like family now than just employees. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what we don't mind getting dirty with grease and wood chips. There’s a small tea stall just outside the gates where we spend most of our breaks talking about why the parts are late. It’s a noisy, busy life, but we wouldn't know what else to do.
