Vipul General Store

Our shop is on Sultanwind Road in Amritsar. Specifically, we are near the Sultan Wind Gate, in the Drum Wala Bazar area. It's Shop No 5. This part of the city is always full of life and people. We’ve been part of the Kapoor Nagar neighborhood for a long time. At Vipul General Store, we just sell what people need for their daily lives. We have spices, tea, snacks, and basic things like soap and toothpaste. The market is narrow and always busy, so it can be a bit chaotic outside our door. We like the energy though. People stop in to chat for a few minutes while they buy their groceries. It’s not a polished or modern business. We have old wooden shelves and a lot of bags piled up in the corners. We do our best to keep everything in stock, but sometimes the supply from the wholesalers is a bit slow. We just explain that to the people who come in. Most customers around here are regulars anyway. They know us and we know their families. It’s a simple life running a store in Amritsar. We open up early in the morning and stay until the market finally quiets down at night. It’s just a normal local shop for normal people. Nothing more and nothing less. We handle everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the heavy lifting of the supply bags when they arrive at the gate.
