Vijay Karyana Store

Vijay Karyana Store is situated at Shop No. 7 on Fatehgarh Churian Road. We are right by Rattan Singh Chownk, which is a very busy part of Amritsar. There’s always the sound of horns and engines from the intersection. Our shop is a small one, tucked into the row of businesses along the road. We sell the usual grocery items that every household needs. We spend a lot of our time checking our stock and making sure we don’t run out of the basics like flour or cooking oil. It gets dusty inside because of all the traffic outside, so we’re constantly wiping down the counters. We know many of the families around here because they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a plain way of living. We open the shutters early and start the day by cleaning the front area. Some days the deliveries come late and we have to stay even longer to get everything put away. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us handling everything from the sales to the heavy lifting. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get a fresh shipment of sacks, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a reliable place where the neighbors can grab what they forgot to buy at the big market. It’s a lot of standing and moving, but that’s the nature of a karyana store in a place like this.
