Vaid Clinical Digital Lab

Out here in Bhikhiwind, we are positioned right opposite the Sonalika Tractor Agency. It is a landmark everyone knows, so we don't have to give many directions to people coming from out of town. The lab stays busy because there is always something to do. We get in before the sun is fully up to get the machines ready. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens or handling samples. The sound of the tractors across the road is a constant background noise during the day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets to be a lot, so we keep the door shut most of the time. The space isn't huge, but we make it work. We have a few benches for people to wait on while we get things sorted. It’s mostly local folks from around Bhikhiwind coming in. We keep a ledger for everything because it’s easier than relying on the computer for every single little detail. It’s funny how you get used to the smell of a lab after a while. Most people who come in are a bit nervous, so we just try to keep things moving quickly so they can get on with their day. When it’s harvest season, the area gets even busier with all the farm equipment moving around. We just keep doing our thing inside. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning until we lock up the shutters at night.
