Sudesh Kirana Store

Sudesh Kirana Store is located on Sultanwind Road in Amritsar. You can find us right in Kot Baba Deep Singh Bazar No-2, which is just across from Prince Karyana Store. It’s a busy part of the city, and the 143001 area is always full of life. Being in a bazaar means there’s constant noise and people moving about. Our shop is a typical kirana store where we sell all the pulses, grains, and spices that make up a Punjabi kitchen. I spend a lot of time weighing out lentils into small plastic bags or refilling the large bins of flour. The air inside smells like coriander and cumin. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are in the shop at once, but we make it work. We’ve got shelves lining every wall, filled with jars and packets of snacks. Sometimes I have to climb a ladder to reach the stuff at the very top. We don't have any flashy lights or big advertisements. Most people know us because they live right here in the bazar or pass by Sultanwind Road every day. It’s hard work, especially in the winter when it’s cold or during the humid monsoon weeks. We just keep our heads down and serve the customers one by one. It’s just a regular local shop in Amritsar, doing things the old-fashioned way without any big corporate talk.
