Store 99

Our shop, Store 99, is located at Shop No 7 on Batala Road. We are actually inside the Celebration Mall here in Amritsar. It is a bit different being in a mall compared to a regular street shop. The air is cooler because of the mall's systems, but the work is mostly the same. We have been in the 143001 area for a while. People come to the mall for all sorts of reasons and they often wander into our shop at number 7. We have got things organized on the racks, but on busy weekends, everything gets moved around by the crowds. It is a lot of folding and straightening up. Batala Road is a major path, so getting to the mall is usually pretty easy for everyone. We see a lot of families out for the day. I spend my shifts mostly checking the inventory and talking to people who are just looking around. It is not a very big space, but we make use of every inch. Working inside Celebration Mall means we follow the mall hours, so we are often here quite late. There is always music playing in the background from the mall speakers. We just do our job and try to make sure we have enough items for everyone who walks through the door. It is a pretty straightforward way to spend the day, just being part of the mall environment.
