I’ve been working out of 12 Sahej Encalve Encalve on Mata Kolan Marg for some time. It’s a quiet enough area which helps when you need to focus on detailed drawings. The office isn't anything massive, just a place to keep my drafting table and computer. Most of my day is spent dealing with the nuts and bolts of architecture. People come by to talk about building their homes or fixing up an old space. I try to keep things simple and explain how the process works without using a lot of jargon. It’s a lot of back and forth with clients and then spending hours getting the dimensions exactly right. I handle most things myself, so if you call, you’re usually talking to me directly. Sahej Encalve is a good spot for this kind of work. Sometimes the paperwork for the city takes longer than the actual designing, but that’s just part of the reality of being an architect here. I enjoy the challenge of making a small plot of land work for a family’s needs. It’s honest work and I’ve been doing it long enough that I don't feel the need to dress it up. Just me at my desk, working through the next set of plans for whoever walks through the door. I might have a few half-finished cups of tea around the room, but the work gets finished on time and the blueprints are always accurate for the builders to follow.
