Sikka Anu Architect

I’m based over at 88-B in Rani-Ka-Bagh. It’s a decent area, right near the F.C.I. Office, which makes it easy for people to find me. I’ve been working out of this space for quite a while now. It’s not a big glass tower or anything like that. Just a regular building where I keep my drafting table and a few computers. Sometimes the internet is slow, and I end up pacing around the room. I spend a lot of time looking out the window toward the F.C.I. building while thinking about a project. It’s a lot of quiet work, mostly just drawing and checking dimensions. I don’t go for the high-pressure sales stuff. I’d rather just sit down with a client and talk about where the windows should go. My desk is usually covered in site maps and old coffee mugs. It feels like home to me. The neighbors are nice, and we all kind of know each other. Rani-Ka-Bagh has a specific feel to it, and I try to keep that in mind when I’m working. I don't have a team of secretaries. It’s just me and the work. I handle the blueprints and the phone calls. If you come by 88-B, you’ll probably find me leaning over a big sheet of paper. It's a simple life, but the work is steady and I like being part of the local community here.
