We are right by the Ghanta Ghar, which is the big clock tower that everyone knows. It is a very busy part of the city, and the noise from the traffic and the markets is something we hear all day long. Our shop is in an old building with a high ceiling and a heavy wooden door that we open up wide every morning. Inside, the walls are lined with books, many of them with bright covers that stand out against the old wood. We have a small area where people can sit if they want to look at something before they buy it, though it’s usually just a couple of stools. The floor is made of old stone that has worn smooth over the decades. We try to keep things tidy, but there is always a bit of dust because we are so close to the main road. The clock tower chimes every hour, and it’s a sound we have grown very used to over the years. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the honking cars outside. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the people who walk through the door. It is a simple operation, mostly just family members helping out and keeping the shelves stocked. We like being in the heart of the city where everything is happening. It’s a bit chaotic, but it is our home and where we do our work every day.
